Building Permit
Building Permits for the City of Caldwell may only be obtained at the City Warehouse Office located at 1103 Commerce St., Caldwell, TX.
Building permits must be obtained prior to the start of construction, and must be posted at the site for the duration.

Fees and Inspections
TRCC and State required inspections performed by One Way Inspection Services, under contract to the City of Caldwell. Inspections are included in the permit fee. Forms
You may download a permit application and fill it out before you come in or pick up the forms in the office. The permit application is required for all types of permits. If you are doing residential construction (except on a manufactured home), you must also fill out the TRCC information form. If you are installing, removing or remodeling a manufactured home, you must also fill out the manufactured home verification form.
If an asbestos inspection is required under state or federal law, a copy of the report must be submitted to obtain a permit.
For commercial projects in excess of $50,000, plans must be submitted for accessibility review prior to issuance of a permit.
Builders for residential projects that fall under the provisions of the TRCC must submit their valid registration number prior to issuance of a permit.
