The City of Caldwell Water & Wastewater Department provides drinking water, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment services to the community. The Department maintains the City's water and wastewater systems and works to provide safe, reliable service to customers.

Water Quality & Regulatory Information

The City of Caldwell provides access to water quality reports, regulatory documents, conservation planning information, and other resources related to the City's public water system.

The City's annual Drinking Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report, provides information about Caldwell's drinking water, including its source, testing results, and compliance with applicable drinking water standards.

What is a Drought Contingency Plan?
A Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) establishes strategies the City may use to respond to drought conditions or temporary water supply shortages. The plan identifies conditions that may trigger different drought stages and the measures that may be implemented to conserve available water supplies.

Why does Caldwell have a Drought Contingency Plan?
The plan helps protect available water supplies during drought or temporary shortages while maintaining water for essential uses, including drinking water, sanitation, and fire protection.

What happens during a drought?
Depending on conditions, the City may implement a drought response stage identified in the Drought Contingency Plan. Each stage establishes applicable conservation measures and water-use restrictions.

The City of Caldwell completed its initial Lead Service Line Inventory in accordance with state and federal drinking water requirements. The inventory documents service line materials within the City's public water system and supports ongoing efforts to identify and address potential sources of lead in drinking water.

No known lead service lines were identified in Caldwell's public water system as part of the initial inventory.

The City will continue to maintain and update its inventory as required. Property owners are also encouraged to be aware of plumbing and service-line materials located on private property.
