Building and Permits
The City of Caldwell's Building Department oversees permitting, plan reviews, and inspections to help ensure construction projects meet applicable building codes and safety standards. Permits may be required for new construction, renovations, additions, repairs, and certain other improvements.
The City has adopted the 2021 family of International Codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), along with applicable local amendments. Links to the adopted codes and amendments are provided below.
